1. Behind Her Eyes
Behind Her Eyes is a 2021 limited series. Netflix describes it as a single mother who enters a world of twisted mind games when she begins an affair with her psychiatrist boss while secretly befriending his mysterious wife.
It is more thriller than romance. The affair opens the door, but the real story is about secrets in a marriage.
Why watch it: It rewards attention and keeps the viewer guessing. One source on infidelity shows says the series adds a supernatural layer to the theme.
Keep in mind: It is a limited series, so there’s a clear ending. It has a TV-MA rating, and viewers who dislike dark psychological themes may find it unsettling.
2. Sex/Life
Sex/Life follows Billie Connelly, played by Sarah Shahi, whose old flame Brad Simon, played by Adam Demos, returns and disrupts her domestic life as a married mother of two. It’s part of a long tradition of television about extramarital affairs, fantasies and the pressures of modern relationships.
Why watch it: It’s the most openly romantic title here, and it leans into the fantasy.
Keep in mind: It is explicit in tone and not for every viewer. Reviews and viewer reactions tend to be mixed, so watch an episode or two before committing.
3. Anatomy of a Scandal
Created by David E. Kelley and Melissa James Gibson, Anatomy of a Scandal blends infidelity and politics. The affair isn’t the twist. It’s the fuse that leads to a high-profile case and a marriage under public scrutiny.
Why watch it: It shifts between the past and the courtroom, so it works well for people who prefer drama and suspense to romance.
Keep in mind: It deals with serious subject matter, so check the content warnings.
4. The Hunting Wives
The Hunting Wives is based on May Cobb’s bestselling novel and explores the raunchy side of infidelity. It sits in the soapy-thriller space, with friendships, secrets and a small-town setting.
Why watch it: It’s a good pick if you want a glossy, binge-friendly series with plenty of drama.
Keep in mind: It’s newer than some titles here, so availability and episode counts may change. Check the Netflix listing.
5. Obsession
Obsession is a British psychological drama about an affair that spirals into something far more dangerous. It’s adapted from a novel and is built around desire, deception and consequences. best adultery series on netflix hollywood.
